Orofino Endurocross

The weather warnings started coming in for Orofino, Idaho suitably on Friday the 13^th, 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time. The most impressive warning was the tornado watch for the area; mental images of racers being plucked from the endurocross track by funnel clouds flooded my mind. The secondary warnings included a heavy rainfall warning matched with extremely strong winds. First Race & Upcoming Mayhem

The first race of the season was the Roots of Doom on Vancouver Island. The highly competitive intermediate class had dozens of racers set to do battle over a 3 hour span in hopes of scoring one of Jarrett May's custom trophies and prize money.
